Recipe – Taco Pie


This has been one of my most favorite, easiest, go-to recipes for a while.  I love taco pie.  The only problem is that my recipes makes a 9×13 pan, and as a single person I can’t (shouldn’t) be eating that much for supper.  So this past week I invited my brother, his fiance, and his roommate over for supper and we devoured the whole pan.   Continue reading


Recipe – Chicken Alfredo Garlic Naan Pizza


Last fall I lived with my aunt for a few months.  During that time I learned to eat and like naan.  Normally it was plain naan and I would just put a little crunchy peanut butter on it.  Occasionally we would make pizza on naan and put it on the grill.  My aunt and uncle usually made ham and pineapple pizza.  I’m strange though, and don’t care for red sauce.  So I created my own: Chicken Alfredo Garlic Naan Pizza.

Chicken Alfredo Lasagna


Last night I decided it was time I get around to trying a new recipe.  My evenings have been so busy recently and I’ve been relying on quick, convenient foods to get by.  But with a full night at home and a short to-do list, I decided to take time to make a new recipe: Chicken Alfredo Lasagna.  Oh My Goodness Yum!  It took me a while to put this together, but it was completely worth it.

Recipe – Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Milkshake


While walking through the store recently something caught my eye, In the milk cooler I saw a brand of milk called Sir Bananas.  On closer inspection, I saw that they had 2 types of Sir Bananas milk: Banana and Chocolate Banana.  I normally love banana flavored things, but wasn’t sure if I could handle straight up banana milk.  I was curious enough about it that I decided to buy the Chocolate Banana milk.  I tried a glass when I got home and it was actually very tasty.  However, something struck me that there may be a way to make it even tastier.

Fall is in the air!  Of course that depends where you’re living, but in my new great state of Michigan the trees are just starting to turn and the nights are getting cooler.  I haven’t made it to the apple orchard yet to get delicious apples for my apple crisp, so I decided to start off my fall ‘baking’ with a creative food recipe.

Recipe – Poppyseed Buns


Poppyseed Buns are one of my family’s favorites.  Whenever we traveled home from my grandparent’s, my grandma would make a dozen of these and stick them in our travel food bag, usually with grapes, Fritos or Bugles, and frosted animal cookies.  My brother and I learned to make them and would put some together when camping with friends.  Setting up an assembly line is the fastest way to get these tasty sandwiches put together.
